ConSol Partners' Client is looking for a Software Development Engineer to be based in Zeldegem, Belgium for an automotive company that provides traditional mechanical and advanced mechatronic powertrain solutions for niche and moderate volume applications. The technology addresses the key market needs for automation, emission control, fuel efficiency, torque capacity, and refinement.
JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES
YOU WILL HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF:
C, Java or Labview, or you can easily learn new software languages. Experience using affinity with Real Time and FPGA systems, database experience and experience with test modes. Must be Detail-oriented and structured, process-based in the way of working. Strong in problem analysis. You can work both in team and independently. Strong in English, both spoken and written.
REQUIREMENTS:
As a Software Development Engineer you develop, implement and validate new software in our test lab and the production environment, where we develop and produce our high-tech transmissions. You will write scripts for build & test automation. In addition, together with colleagues, you maintain the completely new framework/platform (PLC, CANbus, LabView controllers). You are part of the Instrumentation team that is responsible for controlling and measuring test stands in Test lab and production (test) positions in production. Optimisation and enhancement of device level architecture are also key aspects of this role.
