Labs/RAN Engineer - DDOS Solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Will perform security design for IP packet-based network infrastructure and services with an emphasis on design and implementation of attack mitigation.
- Designs/develops/documents/implements DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service)/Cloud computing solutions for the company's IP/MPLS network infrastructure.
- Introduction of Router blade-based traffic scrubbing, and the automation of the current manual DDoS Defense customer provisioning and update processes through "Orchestration".
- Supports testing of DDOS security, Cloud computing solutions and introduction of these solutions into the production network.
- Develops methods of automating existing manual DDOS mitigation processes.
- Work will involve working closely with the DDoS current architecture designers, conducting tests and analysing test results to determine the best design and security implementation.
- Designs Cloud computing networking and security controls needed to protect the infrastructure.
- Applies appropriate controls and risk mitigation techniques to data plane and control plane for cloud computing network infrastructure. Creates independent designs with some guidance from a team leader where needed.

SKILLS
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Documentation and presentation abilities needed. The ability to work well with operations staff and resolve field issues is a necessity.
Required skills: General knowledge of IP routing, network security, DDOS and Cloud computing security. Relevant hands-on experience with Arbor SP Peakflow, Arbor TMS, Cisco Routers, ACLs, Cisco Firewalls, Juniper security filters and Juniper Routers.

Desired skills:
Security design and support experience involving a large scale network. Experience with Cisco Guards, VMware and VoIP gateways. Security design and support experience involving a large scale network; working knowledge of IP Addressing, IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), MPLS and VOIP security. Hands-on experience with Cisco and or Juniper high-end routing platforms (eg, CRS-1, ASR family, Cisco 7600, MX960, Juniper M and T series. Relevant hands-on experience with Arbor SP Peakflow, Arbor TMS products

Certifications/Training desired:
Cisco - CCNA, CCNP, Security CCNA, CCSK, Juniper - JNCIA-JUNOS, JNCIS-JUNOS, JNCIS-SEC. Arbor Peakflow SP TMS training, Peakflow SP User/Administrator training,
