Laboratory Technician - QA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The QA Technician is responsible for assuring the quality of product with in day to day operations. They will assist with evaluation of raw and packaging materials as well as finished product to ensure compliance to Quality Systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct plant quality investigations for holds and food safety issues
Pre-Operation Inspections
GMP Audits
Daily HACCP Checks
Collection of swabs for microbiological analysis
Raw Material Certificate of Analysis (COA) approval
Sample preparation and analysis using basic laboratory equipment
Equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and calibration
Sensory analysis which may include taste evaluations of baked goods
Follow all safety and GMP policies.
Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS:

SKILLS:
Effective communication skills are required
Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Prior manufacturing experience is a plus

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1 - 2 years prior QC experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree
Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in science related field preferred.
SAP experience is highly desirable (reviewing COE for raw materials)
1-2 years experience in manufacturing QC
