Laboratory Technician Job

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in OXNARD, CA.

- One year of related experience and/or training preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position is in the QC Seed Physiology Lab in Oxnard, CA.
- The primary responsibilities are performing designated physical seed quality analysis, creation of samples, and movement of physical samples.
- The technician will provide support and assistance to by preparing buffers and reagents, assisting with seed health tests and performing greenhouse work
- Duties and responsibilities include: preparation of buffers and reagents, plant seeds using a vacuum planter or by hand, maintain indicator plants, conduct grow-out assays, inspect, operate, maintain equipment, assist with seed health tests, follow and maintain the ISO Quality Management Standards.
- The technician will wear appropriate PPE and take proper safety precautions while working in the lab and greenhouse.
