Laboratory Technician Job

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WASHINGTON, WV.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform routine and non-routine testing to meet production commitments
- Perform calibration of equipment as necessary.
- Audit reagents and supplies and take appropriate action to ensure adequate inventory to meet testing needs.
- Be responsible for communicating test changes and follow up for compliance.
- Communicate with area BTO's, Chemists, etc. for scheduling of testing and priorities.
- Follow control sample activity to ensure tests are in control and to review suspect data prior to release to ensure testing is completed in a timely manner.
- Train others on routine/new/non-routine tests and equipment. All work must be done in accordance with established methods and procedures demonstrating a high degree of accuracy in weighing, calculating, running the test and recording of test data.
- Prepare daily/weekly/etc. reports as needed for lab operation.
- Troubleshoot or direct this activity on equipment or suspect results.
- Perform the duties of the Area Director position and the Alternate for the Emergency Control Organization.
- The Lab tech needs a good understanding of plant products and processes to effectively prioritize testing.
- Perform LOD and method reviews.
- Perform housekeeping as needed to have a clean, safe work environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree in science, engineering field or equivalent experience
- Must be flexible to shift work
