Laboratory Technician Job

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WILMINGTON, DE.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary chemistry and product development team aimed at the development of inorganic pigments and coatings formulation
- With guidance from supervision, primary responsibility is to assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research.
- Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.
- Accurately follow procedures to run experiments and record data
- Manage and maintain laboratories and equipment, including writing SOPs, cleaning & developing cleaning procedures, and safety documentation

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in chemistry or equivalent level of experience
- Experienced in laboratory work involving chemical synthesis.
- Experienced in architectural and industrial coatings

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarization with related analytical techniques is desirable, such as BET, TGA, pH and conductivity
