Laboratory Technician Job

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in OXNARD, CA

- Skilled in laboratory technical tasks
- Knowledgeable with commonly used concepts and procedures in a laboratory setting

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Will be required to offer assistance in operation of the equipment and gathering of data.
- Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking
- Preparation of buffers and reagents, plant seeds using a vacuum planter or by hand, maintain indicator plants, conduct grow-out assays, inspect, operate, maintain equipment, assist with seed health tests, follow and maintain the ISO Quality Management Standards. The technician will wear appropriate PPE and take proper safety precautions while working in the lab and greenhouse.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associate's Degree or its equivalent and zero to three (0-3) years of related experience.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor.
