Laboratory Technician Job

LAB TECHNICIAN needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Diego, CA.

- Aseptic technique

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position is dedicated to supporting all the biological laboratories.
- The incumbent will maintain the organization of tissue culture labs and general laboratories through autoclaving, glassware and plastic ware washing and stocking, cleaning, organizing, disposal, and maintenance.
- The incumbent must have strong demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to establish priorities, meet multiple and frequently changing deadlines with flexibility and the ability to organize, analyze, and calculate.
- The incumbent should have strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills that facilitate professional and effective interaction with a diverse population.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors Degree in a Scientific Field, preferably Biology
- Capable of receiving and understanding verbal and written instructions
- Capable of carrying out assigned functions in a high-quality, reliable manner
- Energetic, hardworking, pleasant, high regard for accuracy and attention to details
- Knowledge of safe laboratory practices
- Reliable and dependable
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry short distances
- Working knowledge in aseptic techniques
