Laboratory Technician Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN to join our global manufacturing company in WILMINGTON, DE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations, maintaining laboratory facilities and equipment in accordance with Laboratory standards in order to help ensure the validity and integrity of experimental results.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for operating lab equipment in the Facility.
- Work will include support of basic research and development and producing customer samples.
- Capable of operating machinery similar to lathes, cylindrical grinders, polishers and basic lifting hoists and is expected to be able to perform basic maintenance on this equipment with training.
- Frequent, efficient lifting/moving of heavy components (within OSHA guidelines) will be required.
- Will work closely with Equipment Engineers and System Integration Leader and day shift personnel to execute test programs.

Job Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):
- Experience with safe handling of chemicals.
- Gravure industry experience (printing, cylinder production, engraving) a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills in laboratory work.
- Ability to function independently and efficiently in a production environment.
- Good communication and organization skills a must.
