Laboratory Software Support Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a LABORATORY SOFTWARE TECHNICIAN to join our client in Fremont, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Troubleshoot Laboratory Instrument Control System application and system problems and provide end user support to R&D clients.
- Perform baseline systems support, administrative, and maintenance duties for Instrumentation Systems.
- Maintain validated status of systems by maintaining accurate logs, records, and documentation.
- Work with other IT groups to obtain infrastructure, database, and communication support for R or a Graduate Degree (Masters) in Computer Science, MIS, with one to two (1 - 2) years of experience; or relevant and equivalent IT experience, minimum of three (3) years.
- Experience with PC software and hardware configuration, data communications, networking/protocols.
- Hands on experience with interfacing and troubleshooting PCs and peripherals with laboratory instrumentation.
- Technical experience with client operating systems (Win 2000, XP, Win7), basic knowledge of Active Directory, network administration and group policy.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is desirable, including knowledge of computer systems validation and FDA GMP regulations.
- Must have strong analytical and research abilities and be able to effectively use them to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Experience supporting laboratory instrumentation systems and applications is desirable.
- Experience with Citrix, Cisco Security Agent, Back-Up software and VMware is desired.
