LABORATORY ANALYST

12 MONTH CONTRACT

Jake Phillips is recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to work on a 12 month contract with a global pharmaceutical company based at their Bristol location.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The main responsibilities will include:

- Working in an operational laboratory based role
- Carrying out routine Quality Control duties
- Receipt purchased raw materials, including nitrogen and water, into the Laboratories, and check all delivery paperwork prior to analysis.
- Perform analysis on all purchased and manufactured materials that are receipted into the Laboratories.
- Record the analytical decision of batches on GLIMs and or ICON.
- Accurately file all raw data in the appropriate log book or critical instrument file.
- Transporting reserve samples to the reserve sample store.
- Complete daily checks of the Fridges and Freezers to ensure they are in compliance.
- Complete daily checks of analytical balances.
- Ensure that all the work areas and safe are tidy after use.
- Carry out routine checks of the laboratories to ensure the appropriate standards of GMP and SHE is being maintained.

Performing routine GMP audits/self inspections, for example Log books and standardisation/calibration files.

CANDIDATE OVERVIEW

The successful applicant will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

- Scientific or related degree
- Experience of using chromatography data capture system
- LIMS
- Wet analysis experience
- Ability to work within a team
- Strong communication skills
