Lab Technician with Chemistry

SUMMARY

- Perform chemical testing on the samples of paint produced
- Use formulas to prepare and mix samples of waterborne and solvent borne automotive paints
- Prepare and spray panels with Primer, Base, Clear Coats paint samples of lash and bake panels in ovens
- Record all results in database and create spreadsheets
- Conduct inventory on raw materials
- Perform physical and appearance testing on panels, such as: Water Soak, QCT, gas immersion, Adhesion Testing Tukon, Gravelometer Testing, High Performance Chipping and so forth as defines in customer specifications

QUALIFICATIONS

- Recent college graduates will be considered for this entry level position
- BS Degree - chemistry, ChE/Material Science and 6 months work experience in lab (industrial or academic outside of the normal class work - ie: internship/externship/co-op, etc.)
- Associates with some combination of the following experience

1) Lab Experience Preferred
2) Organized, neat record keeping, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
3) Paint Lab and Paint Testing Experience is a plus
4) Experience with Automotive OEM material specifications is a plus
