For an awesome client of ours in the Computing industry we are looking for a LAB TECHNICIAN/MAINTENANCE.

INTRODUCTION

Their research is focused on the development of new hybrid semiconductor-superconductor platforms to enable the application of Majorana bound states for topological quantum computing.

Cryogenic measurements -both DC transport and high-frequency- are at the core of our qubit activities. They deal with various types of cryogenic test equipment, as well as custom and COTS RF/DC electronic systems and require extensive electrical characterization of their devices. As a lab engineer in their lab you will work closely with researchers to improve and maintain measurement setups. You will care for a wide range of lab equipment including cryogenic test equipment, vacuum systems, and lab support systems. Your dedication will make sure that research progresses smoothly, and experiments can be conducted at the highest level.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- 40 hr/week
- Daily maintenance within the lab.
- Performing ad-hoc maintenance requests
- Responsibility for the water cooling infrastructure
- Performing scheduled machinery maintenance
- Interfacing with equipment vendors to coordinate equipment repairs

REQUIREMENTS

- MTS/HBO degree in engineering technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields
- At least three years' experience maintaining process or test equipment in industrial or academic environments
- Strong team mentality and enthusiasm to work in a diverse, international team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Dutch speaking beneficial (but not required)
