Lab Technician Job

LAB TECHNICIAN needed for a 2-3 MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NAPA CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline (Enology or Chemistry preferred)
- Knowledge of laboratory analysis and methodology
- Strong understanding of the production of wine

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs all routine analyses of musts and wines
- Performs packaging audits on the bottling lines
- Appropriately calibrates and standardizes all equipment and lab chemicals
- Actively maintains a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work area while observing all safety rules
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of all analyses and quality assurance audits
- Collects samples for analysis and trials
- Prepares bench-scale trials, microbiology and sensory evaluations
- Communicates any "out of range" results to cellar lead and winemaking team
- Assists in identifying, resolving issues, and taking appropriate action on non-conforming product or materials
- Abides by all HACCP and ISO programs as part of DSS compliance
- Enters data and maintains data files
- Utilizes specific software for managing processes including WMDB, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Provides general lab support
- Other responsibilities may be assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline (Enology or Chemistry preferred)
- Knowledge of laboratory analysis and methodology
- Strong understanding of the production of wine
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
