Lab Technician Job

LAB TECHNICIAN is needed for a long term CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in DALLAS, TX.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Chemistry Lab Testing Experience
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform wet analyses on chemicals via automatic and manual titration and classical wet methods on inorganic and solvent chemicals.
- Analysis of DI water and semiconductor grade chemicals for trace anion and cation impurities by use of ion chromatography instrumentation.
- Making IC standards, eluent mixtures, and titration solutions Responsible for accurate evaluation, interpretation, and verification of data.
- Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results.
- Actively participate in optimization of sample cycle time and continuous laboratory improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts in the laboratory and company.
- Practice and enforce safe laboratory and chemical handling protocols.
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift. Some holiday and weekend coverage required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Preferred one to two (1-2) years industrial laboratory experience
- Good computer skills are required (analytical instrumentation software, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills.
- Must have initiative and be self-motivated.
- Good organization skills.
- Must be able to lift medium to heavy loads with the help of co-workers
- AS degree in chemistry or equivalent
