Lab Technician Job

LAB TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CARLSBAD, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- S or B.S. in physical science.
- Lab equipment experience.
- Industrial lab experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Assembles and modifies laboratory scale synthesis, distillation and other equipment and operates and maintains pilot-scale synthesis and purification process development units.
- Performs experiments, collects and submits samples to an analytical lab and records the results of the sample analyses as a function of experimental process parameters.
- Troubleshoots and repairs lab apparatus.
- Hands-on work with hazardous chemicals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- An AS or equivalent associates or trade school degree (or optionally a BS degree in the physical sciences) plus at least three years experience in an industrial chemical laboratory environment is requested.
- The candidate must have experience with chemical processes, preferably in high-purity chemical operations.
- They must have a proven track record of working safely following established protocols and consistently using required personal protective equipment.
- Extensive hands-on experience in assembly and repair of chemical handling equipment is also required.
- Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).
