Lab Technician

For our client in BASEL we are looking for a LAB TECHNICIAN for a 12-MONTH PROJECT.

POSITION PURPOSE:

We are looking for a motivated technician to perform Sample Management activities for Quality Control of development biotech drug substances (DS) and drug products (DP) in collaboration with members of the own and cross-functional teams in a cGMP environment.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The accountabilities and responsibilities of the Sample Management Technician are to:

- receipt, check, track, ship, distribute and discard analytical samples in a Biologics QC group
- prepare all relevant accompanying documentation in a full GMP environment
- perform the sample entry in the corresponding laboratory database
- perform the aliquotation and labeling of the samples
- responsible for laboratory equipment (eg fridges, freezers)
- perform technical checks of GMP documents in the corresponding database in order to evaluate accuracy and correctness of documents
- the candidate will have to conduct activities according to the appropriate SOP, GLP, GMP and other guidelines and activities in compliance with the company's safety, waste disposal and other regulatory guidelines and must understand and follow established health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies.
- The candidate will work collaboratively within a team of several people and participate constructively in team meetings

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Good knowledge of cGMP regulations.
2. Experience as a sample management officer and/or in an analytical environment is advantageous.
3. Awareness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment
4. Adequate knowledge of appropriate software and computer tools.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Good understanding of English (oral and written) is essential.

Basic German understanding is desirable.
