Lab Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs routine tests and experiments following compendial or standard procedures and some non-routine samples with minimal supervision
Candidate is responsible for the accuracy and compliance of results generated
Data maintenance and record keeping are in accord with GMP and SOPs
Recognizes, investigates and takes appropriate actions to correct deviations
Reports deviations and corrective actions to appropriate personnel
Understands how data and studies support compliance and regulatory requirements
Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, balances, spectrophotometers, chromatographs and other laboratory equipment.
Maintains above equipment, troubleshoots to identify problems, does routine calibrations and preventive maintenance.
Maintains Standard Operating Procedures dealing with their work area and recommends new methods and procedures.
Records test results on standardized forms, prepares reports describing procedures used, prepares charts and graphs to assist in evaluation and interpretation of data.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate should have GMP experience and experience that is relevant and/or from a related field as Pharmaceutical Quality Control. Ability to use and perform compendia or standard procedures, general laboratory duties, sample log in, grinding of samples, and carry out Microbiology testing. Use technical knowledge and understanding to run routine and some non-routine finished product, raw material, validation, intermediates and stability samples within the established deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in related scientific field with approximately 1 - 3 years Quality Control laboratory experience or High School degree or equivalent with approximately 3 - 5 years Quality Control laboratory experience.
