Lab Technician

Our client is the leading computer components manufacturing company seeking a qualified Lab Technician for a contract opportunity. This project involves characterization of prototype samples of voltage regulators and power supplies. It is part of a laboratory effort to develop highly efficient power delivery capability for computing applications.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to) working in the power delivery laboratory, performing experiments such as functional tests, interfacing with FPGA based circuits, use of Xilinx tools, loading applications, data collection, compiling test reports etc. Ancillary activities such as soldering, replacing board level components on PCBs will also be necessary.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Either BS/MS with 5+ years' experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have experience in collecting voltage, current and power measurements
- Experience in handling digital oscilloscope capturing waveforms and data acquisition systems required
- Knowledge of power electronics, switching power supplies &/or voltage regulators required
- Familiarity with Xilinx ISE or other FPGA tools
- Know-how in Microcontroller functionality and application a plus
- Experiences in PCB schematic design/layout, circuit test and debug
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Self-motivation
