Lab Technician, Diagnostic Services

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform diagnostics test for the global customer base including mold survey evaluation, bacterial identification and immunoassay (ELISA).
- Assist with PCR and newer technologies as they are brought to the industry
- Work closely with customers and field-based technical colleagues to assure top quality diagnostic services are provided in terms of accuracy, precision, and unparalleled turn around
- Improve current testing and develop new testing capabilities in coordination with internal and external groups
- Assist with the transfer of capabilities between international diagnostic sites and third parties, when appropriate
- Track diagnostic findings to identify elements that may be of importance to Animal Health applications (eg, new strains; shifts in strain virulence)
- Manage historical records of diagnostic findings according to record retention policies

QUALIFICATIONS

- Required Bachelors Degree with 1-2 years of lab-related experience
- Demonstrated familiarity with common laboratory techniques
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Proven track record for attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple and complex functions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Working hours: 8am to 5pm or 9am to 5pm
