Lab Tech

NOTE:

Rotating Shift schedule. All candidates interviewing must be willing to work rotating shift work!

SKILLS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A Degree in Chemistry or a related field or equivalent is required.
- The ability to work a rotating shift and the flexibility to cover vacations and other open periods is required.
- Strict attention to detail and follow up skills are essential.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry with emphasis on performance of standard laboratory tests, the properties of products produced and the quality standards involved
- Basic knowledge of reagents and equipment used for testing and familiarity with gas chromatographic equipment (Expect three to six months to become proficient with the primary laboratory tests and procedures)
- Experience with GC, UV/Vis, FTIR, acid-base titrations, viscosities, melting points is desirable.
- Experience in a GMP laboratory associated with a production facility is desirable.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- 3 to 5 years experience as a lab tech
- Associate Degree or Bachelors in Science
- No Master or PHD!
