LAB Manager

Our client is the leading computer components manufacturer seeking a qualified Lab Tech for an excellent contract position.

THIS CANDIDATE WILL PERFORM GENERAL LAB WORK:

- Setting up systems, installing Oss
- Burning BIOS images to ROM
- Troubleshooting hardware issues
- Installing CPUs, peripherals, memory
- Testing hardware and software
- Ensuring all hardware and high value inventory is properly tracked
- Possibly purchasing software and hardware systems - memory, boards, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

- At least 5 years of related work experience
- Must have ability to quickly ascertain software from hardware issues and resolve them with little to no direction
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills - ie ability to articulate problems and work with others to resolve them
- Must be able to work with hardware, taking a bare motherboard and installing all components (including various chips) all the way to a working computer

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with purchasing using the various purchasing systems
- Experience with inventory control and management
