Lab - Electronic - NFC Technician - DVT

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ENERGETIC AND EXPERIENCED LAB TECHNICIAN TO JOIN MY CLIENTS NFC LAB.

YOU'LL BE WORKING AS A MEMBER OF THE NFC DEVICE VERIFICATION AND TEST (DVT) TEAM TO SUPPORT INDUSTRY-LEADING CUSTOMERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

THE DUTIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

Lab technician within the DVT Team supporting test and characterization of NFC evaluation boards and products.

Provide similar support for RF and digital teams.

Must have ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layout files for complex commercial electronics devices such as mobile phone handsets and laptops.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years' experience as an electronic technician in a production/manufacturing or Engineering Lab environment. Chip industry related experience preferred.

Qualification in Electronics Engineering Technology from a recognized technical school or equivalent education and experience.

Manual dexterity and hands-on experience to be able to hand de-solder and solder SMT electronic components; QFN, FBGA and passives down to 0201 sizes with hot-air gun.

Must have confidence to handle and disassemble/assemble precious one-off customer prototypes multiple times within demanding timescales and under pressure whilst minimizing the possibility of irretrievable hardware damage or failure.

Must be able to use general lab equipment, digital oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and general purpose component testers.

Must have ability to read and interpret schematics in order to identify components for rework on the PCB.

Hands-on skills and working knowledge of RF test and verification equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.

Hardware verification testing: perform testing on new and existing products using various lab test equipment.
