Projektbeschreibung

Position purpose:

Perform scientific experiments and analytical processes for the development of inhalation dosage forms and for the preparation and timely delivery of drug substances and drug products to supply clinical studies as a member of a multifunctional project team coordinated by a Project Leader.

Major Accountabilities:

Within the Inhalation Analytical Research and Development Team we develop and perform analytical tests as part of major inhalation drug product development programs and provide key contributions for analytical aspects of drug product development.

The successful candidate will work across different development programs and project stages, supporting activities like:

- Perform and document scientific experiments under GLP (ie HPLC/UHPLC analyses for release, retest and stability testing of DS and DP including inhalation dosage form specific analyses like NGI or EDU) in close collaboration with other team members meeting the expected quality, quantity and agreed timelines.
- Provide GLP compliant documentation and evaluation of raw data and contribute to interpretation of results. Provide input to the project team for the selection of next experiments.
- Develop and validate new HPLC/UHPLC methods, optimize existing lab methods and reproduce published methods.
- Actively support the transfer of analytical procedures to CRO's and production sites, including process steering controls
- Keep record of chemicals, intermediates, excipients and solvents within own area of responsibility.
- Contribute to lab procedures, reports, instructions and SOP's.
- Contribute to the evaluation of new lab equipment.

Education:

Minimum: Technician with continuing education or BSc or equivalent, MSc advantageous

Experience:

The ideal candidate would have a suitable qualification in analytics with a minimum of 3 years experience as Technician or 0-4 years (for BSc) or 0-2 years (for MSc) with adequate scientific or technical knowledge in the analytical area.

Good knowledge of HPLC/UHPLC analysis as well as of inhalation dosage form specific analyses like NGI or EDU, basic knowledge in scientific areas of collaboration, good knowledge of laboratory and technical tools, adequate knowledge of software and computer tools, and basic presentation skills are desired. The candidate must have sound knowledge and awareness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment.

The candidate should be eager to take on responsibility, have a team oriented working style and a flexible mindset.

A positive attitude to work in a highly cross-functional and collaborative environment is key.

The main part of our communication and documentation is in English. Therefore, the candidate should be able to read, understand and talk in English. No need to be fluent, but it should be a reasonable level. In addition, German and/or French would be an advantage
