Juniper Network Engineer VPN

JUNIPER NETWORK ENGINEER VPN CONTRACT - IMMEDIATE START

Immediate Start - 4 months initially - North Shore

Our client is one of Australia's leading systems integrators. Based in Sydney you will be working onsite at a leading institution supporting and improving their current network infrastructure. You will be contracting to this organisation to provide your network expertise with an emphasis on Juniper VPN de-commissioning. Your background should be heavily Juniper weighted with considerable Cisco network experience.

VPN NETWORK ENGINEER

The purpose of this role is to provide support to our Clients existing Networks team with a more specific emphasis on the removal of their Juniper VPN's.

Technically, we're looking for a strong engineer to document and lead the VPN de-commissioning strategy.

The role will involve:

1. Document business impact analysis
2. Plan/implement pilot project timeline
3. Disable VPN's in a structured environment
4. Test removal strategy and business impact with BAU
5. Cloud impact on pilot project
6. Instigate removal of remainder and project plan
7. Sign off stages of de-commission

We would also expect the successful applicant to be suitably Juniper certified, JNCIA or JNCIS at a minimum. Extensive Cisco network experience would also be beneficial.

This role may involve some after hours and certainly weekend work for which you will be well compensated. Some travel is expected, possibly Interstate.

Sponsorship is not available for this role - you must currently be in Australia.
