Juniper Network Engineer

JUNIPER NETWORK ENGINEER CONTRACT - IMMEDIATE START

IMMEDIATE START - 3 MONTHS INITIALLY (SHOULD EXTEND) - SYDNEY CBD

Our client is one of Australia's leading systems integrators. Based in Sydney's CBD you will be working onsite at a leading institution supporting and improving their current network infrastructure.

You will be contracting to this organisation to provide your network expertise with an emphasis on Juniper - Junos/ScreenOS.

JUNIPER NETWORK ENGINEER

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the existing Networks team with a more specific Juniper resource to cover operational  technical support of our Client's Juniper LAN/WAN and security networks.

Technically, we're looking for a strong mix of the following essential technologies within the Juniper network role:

1. Strong  knowledge Juniper JNOS and ScreenOS (*PRIORITY*)
2. Sound knowledge Juniper SA for SLVPN
3. Sound knowledge current SRX generation
4. Strong knowledge of older generation ISG1000 Firewalls
5. Strong knowledge NSM Management Platform
6. Sound knowledge of SSG & ISG

You will:
 Be involved in the implementation of projects to improve the network infrastructure
 Troubleshoot network faults and perform a technical role during network incidents
 Act as an interface between the organisation and suppliers/carriers/vendors regarding high-level technical issues
 Implement, test and optimise Juniper Firewalls, LAN & WAN hardware, software and related services

We would also expect the successful applicant to be suitably Juniper certified, JNCIA or JNCIS at a minimum, with around 5 years specific experience.
