Junior Tester

THE ROLE:

This federal agency is part way through a large project and require the services of a Junior Tester to help with the next phase.

This role will see you working within a large team to deliver System, Functional, Integration and end to end regression testing.

You will be working closely with a variety of technical and non-technical personnel and so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

KEY DUTIES:

- Manage structured testing across the disciplines of: System, Functional, Integration and end to end regression testing
- Work with business and system analysts to review and clarify business requirements and functional specification documents
- Plan and prepare relevant testing documentation
- Define and prepare test data
- Raise defects/issues and log and track faults using standard tools
- Follow-up and resolve outstanding testing defects and issues
- Report on test progress and escalate issues when necessary

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Experience as a Systems and Functional Tester working on large scale projects within an agile environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, in particular well developed SQL Scripting skills.

- Ability to learn new applications, business processes and procedures quickly
- Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with staff from technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Deadline orientated and able to effectively prioritise
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills with specific attention to quality and detail.

You must be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN to be considered for this - however NO SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED.
