Junior Technical Writer

Leading Australian company requires 2 x Junior/Mid-Level Technical Writer for an initial 3 months plus to work in their North Shore office.

As a contract Junior/Mid Level Technical Writer you will be an integral member of the team. Your role will involve liaising with various business units in the evaluation of various systems to document their processes.

ON A DAILY BASIS YOUR ROLE WILL SEE YOU:

- Encourage the development of content through facilitated workshops. 
- Facilitate content development. 
- Interviewing various stakeholder groups such as Process Owners, Key Users, Domain Leaders, Business Practice Experts, Business Unit Leaders, Subject Matter Experts and end users in order to determine needs and understand the process being documented.
- Analysing the target audience and presenting ideas in user-friendly language.
- Format the material produced to be in line with the language and tone the users would understand.
- Write technically accurate and grammatically correct documentation.
- Organise information so users can easily navigate through it.
- Understand and meet deadlines as well as report on the status of deliverables.
- Manage multiple end user documentation assignments simultaneously.
- Adhere to documentation policies, standards and Document Control System
- Collaborate with stakeholders and interpret verbal and written information.
- Edit written documentation of peers to create unified and consistent documents for end users

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE: 

- Experience in facilitation.
- Worked as a technical writer in the past.
- Written about with ERP Systems or Finance systems.
- Knowledge of Oracle UPK or Captivate is desirable.
- Ability to work across multiple projects as required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills. 
- Ability to engage and build strong relationships with the user community at all levels within the organisation.
