Junior Tech Writer (Reston, VA - FAA) Job

JUNIOR LEVEL TECH WRITER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Reston, VA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- A minimum of two (2) years of experience of technical writing;
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience within information technology related fields/environments;
- Must be flexible and able to learn new skills/technologies quickly;
- Must have excellent organizational, verbal, and technical writing skills and work well in a team environment as well as function independently

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The ideal candidate will conduct research and write professional documents, including process and procedures, identify and document preferred skill levels to perform job execution, document relationships between key stakeholders and define decision process, create and update project management plan, capture user requirements.
- Provide technical direction for design and systems documentation for client engagement from definition phase through implementation.
- Create and execute training documentation, user materials and reports. Coordinate and facilitate training related activities.
- Provide support to read and analyze highly technical materials and to create presentations of that information

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Information Systems, or other related discipline is required
- Must be flexible and able to learn new skills/technologies quickly
- Must have excellent organizational, verbal, and technical writing skills and work well in a team environment as well as function independently
- Experience with ISO 9001, CMMI, and ITIL preferred
- Knowledge of and/or experience in FAA preferred
