Junior Systems Engineer - Software Applications/Windows 2008 Server/AD

My client is urgently seeking an experienced Systems/Desktop Engineer with a Software Support/Wintel background. This is initially a 3 month contract with a view to extend based in Sydney's Northern Beaches.

In this role you will assist with completing an internal project primarily on our client's network management systems ie CA Spectrum & CA eHealth, and updating Servers in customer environments with SNMP configurations for monitoring discoveries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Windows 2008 Server, Active Directory and Cisco Support
- Supportingprimarily CA Spectrum, ehealth, and UCM/NPC, for Discovery & Configuration
- Update multiple server environments with SNMP configurations
- Discover Servers into monitoring
- Work with the senior Systems Engineer to define and maintain monitoring policies
- Propose/configure alarming & notification thresholds
- Configure/Edit/Enhance Topology charts for Enterprise overview
- Manage Attribute and Trap Mapping for MIBs

TO BE SUITABLE YOU WILL HAVE:

- Strong practical knowledge of Cisco RoutingCA Spectrum, ehealth, NetQoS, Nimsoft
- Microsoft certification ie MCSE, MCITP
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP Routing & Switching
- ITIL Foundation certificate
- Experience with CA Spectrum & CA eHealth is highly regarded.
