Junior SQL & C# Developer - Global Consultancy

This Global Consultancy is a major player in the Dublin IT market and is looking for a Junior SQL & C# Developer in their Dublin office. The Junior SQL& C# Developer will be part of an exciting and growing team with a possibility for contract extensions.

The successful candidate will:
* Work as part of a small team undertaking specific tasks assigned
* Perform analysis and design of functional and technical requirements
* Production of technical design documentation from functional specifications/business requirements
* Complete application design, code, unit test and integration test tasks adhering to design/development standards within agreed time frames
* Provide ROMs (Rough Order of Magnitude) for tasks allocated
* Actively participate in design and code review sessions
* Work independently to complete application development tasks
* Be a quick learner with the ability to work under pressure
* Organize work priorities and manage time effectively
* Communicate progress and issues relating to tasks assigned to Development Lead

The candidate must possess the following skills
* SQL Server 2005/2008 and 2012 design and development (18 months +)
* T-SQL experience, (18 months +)
* Application Development experience (18 months+)
* Knowledge of C#/VB.NET and ASP.NET (18 months +)
* Knowledge and experience of web UI technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML)
* Experience of analysis/design
* Experience of OOA/OOD
* Experience of working in a team environment
* Self motivated and enthusiastic
* Good organisational skills
* Good communication skills

The following skills/qualifications would considered to be an advantage
* Information Technology related qualification at diploma/degree level
* Experience using SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS)
* Experience in using ETL tools
* Knowledge and experience AJAX technology
* Good understanding of SDLC methodology
* Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
* Relevant Microsoft Certified Professional qualifications
* Experience working on enterprise scale software development projects
