Junior Software Quality Assurance Specialist Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a JUNIOR SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST to join our client in Sausalito, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Write Regular Expressions and use XPath to guide internal tools, mine and capture website data for jobs.
- Monitor existing job content sources and identify defects and areas of improvement.
- Troubleshoot and root-cause defects by examining job sites and server logs.
- Utilize automation tools to quickly identify content issues.
- Work closely with development engineering to ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Work closely with product management to prioritize job content quality features.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering to deliver the best possible experience to the customer.
- Test and validate implementations before launch of customer campaigns and troubleshoot and root cause implementation problems using internal tools, database queries, and Front End code inspection - escalating technical issues to engineering teams as needed.
- Efficiently manage a caseload of technical project cases and ensure timely and accurate resolution of technical project requests as well as ongoing communication on the status of cases.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Two (2) years of relevant experience in quality assurance, a degree in computer science or a related field of engineering is a plus .
- Working knowledge of SQL, regular expressions, XPath, common web technologies and protocols (eg HTML, Javascript, CSS, XML, HTTP, and FTP).
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Passion for identifying, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues with an ability to find simple workarounds to technical problems without immediately requiring core engineering support
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
