Junior Software Developer

For our client located in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for a Junior Software Developer

Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

The training support platform of our client plays an important role regarding the support to there units who are in charge of delivering training (internally or externally). The efficiency and cost reduction of the training support platform have been demonstrated since years.
Due to the new project requests our client needs external assistance to be able to deliver on time and with the adequate level of quality.

Job Description/Project Background
* Development of an administration tool to support the charging process for courses
* Maintenance and extension of existing administration tools to support the registration of students
* Configuration of the training support platform
* Ad-hoc development of reports on the training administration data

You should be able to:
* Understand the technical elements of the training support platform
* Modify specific software developments of the training support platform
* Develop new software components of the training support platform
* Document developed components for handing their support to our end client

Technical Skills
* Experience with the development of web based applications (at least 6 months experience on such projects)
* Experience with the design of Graphical User Interface (at least 6 months experience on projects involving that technology)
* Knowledge of development using ASP (at least 6 months experience on projects involving that technology)
* Knowledge of MS-SQL Database (at least 6 months experience on projects involving that technology)
* Knowledge of Javascript and HTML (at least 6 months experience on projects involving these technologies)
* Be able to design web pages in line with Eurocontrol corporate brand guidelines
* Have proven knowledge of Web Services (at least 3 months experience on projects involving that technology)
* Have proven knowledge of Windows Server environment and windows server components IIS (at least 3 months experience on projects involving that technology)

Soft skills
* Proven experience in contacts with end users for software development projects (at least 6 months experience on projects)
* Ability to analyse, interpret and document user requirements.
* Ability to support key users during the roll-out of developments
* Have a proactive attitude to communication and the project management process.
