JUNIOR SERVICE, DELIVERY & RELEASE MANAGEMENT (UNIX, LINUX, MQ)
SERVICE, DELIVERY & RELEASE MANAGEMENT role offering the ideal opportunity for you to gain experience working in a Swiss based international bank. The ideal candidate will have about 3 years experience in the field of service, delivery and release management with knowledge of how to plan & support system changes, deployment of releases and set up test and production environment. Experience of Unix, Linux and MQ are vital for this role and ideally some banking knowledge would be helpful. You will be supporting a project manager and have responsibilities for some small projects as well as coordination of deployments with other teams within the area.
DESCRIPTION: TASKS AND DUTIES AS INTEGRATION/RELEASE MANAGEMENT:
- Identifies dependencies in the plans and supports execution of changes to the systems and the project plan
- Co-ordinates deployment of releases with the release manager of the teams
- Supports developers and testers with regard to infrastructure, version control and configuration management Supports the investigation of defects and coordinates with the teams
- Escalates issues and risks with regard to integration and release manager to the project managers and program manager
- Is the point of contact for production support
INFRASTRUCTURE PREPARATION TASKS:
- Prepares the environment for develop and testing purposes in collaboration with other teams/internal clients
- Prepares/supports the production environment deployments (incl. standby systems)
