JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER - RETAIL BANKING - E2E - EDINBURGH - £288/DAY

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

- The People Enablement Junior Project Manager will manage and control the delivery of  work stream components within a Programme ensuring delivery to agreed business plans and costs, quality and timescale objectives, ensuring that the benefits identified in the business case are realised
- Contribute to the research and analysis of the concepts and ideas and review of existing processes, recommending  specific actions
- Develop and maintain effective working and influencing relationships with appropriate colleagues
- Assist the workstream PM in working alongside the central HR project team to manage any A Day communications, union engagement and redeployment of colleagues across the company in a standard and consistent way
- Use the established project methodologies to control, manage and monitor project timescales and budgets, escalating as appropriate to overcome delays, difficulties or cost over-runs
- Continuously monitor projects for risk issues and regulatory compliance and take appropriate steps to mitigate such risks
- Reporting into the workstream Project Manager on progress, risks, issues or blockers
- Role is primarily Edinburgh based with the requirement of regular visits to impacted business units around the country

CORE SKILLS

- Previous experience of working across multiple business units within a large financial services organisation
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at a senior level
- Experience of working on delivering key strategic communication messages (A Day) to colleagues, including coordination of logistic planning for impacted colleagues
- Experience of working with HR teams to manage complex organisational change programmes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to present factual information to individuals or groups in a structured, clear, confident and concise way
- Engagement with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence and shape the direction of a project to meet set milestones
- Use of established project management methodologies and frameworks, specifically during the Initiation & Study stages of the project life cycle
- Strong project planning skills
