Junior Project Manager - EU-Client - 60 days Initial, Extensions Possi

We currently have a vacancy for one JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER (Project Officer) to offer his/her services within a European agency (client) in The Hague to start ASAP a 60 w/days contract (initial) in an EN-speaking environment. Extensions are possible. Our client is an international Organisation and a great reference in any CV.

Must have formal project management certification.

Project start date: ASAP, Project end date (if applicable): 1 year, Contract Duration: Long-term/240 man-days, BUT CONTRACTED ONLY TO 60 DAYS EACH.

TASKS
- Preparing and drafting project proposals;
- Coordinating, managing and monitoring implementation of the full project life cycle from initiation to final delivery;
- Drawing up the project's team work program (objectives, results, deadlines, budget, quality, risks etc.) and related documents;
- Managing the day-to-day operational and tactical project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope;
- Supporting the gathering and analysis of business requirements;
- Providing technical expertise and assisting in the design and documentation of computer networks, systems and databases, including security and backup operations;
- Supervising and monitoring progress and achievement of objectives according to client's demands and needs;
- Ensuring the compliance of all project-related activities within client's rules and standards.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

In addition to the skills needed to perform the above-mentioned tasks and to function in the described work environment the Project Officer:

Must have formal project management certification

Should have strong communication skills and professional experience in an EU or multicultural environment

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

- Write Project Initiation Document and Business Cases for projects under consideration
- Write and/or review Requirements Analysis deliverables such as solution proposals, impact assessments and Use Cases
- Review the technical solution of projects under consideration
- Write and/or review manuals and user guides for new systems or new releases of existing systems
- Prepare test cases and test scenarios for users to test
- Test delivered solutions against Use and Test Cases

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:

The Consultant will manage and lead small to medium sized projects on an independent level. Number of projects not known yet, but we expect for the consultant to lead around 4 projects for the contract duration.
