JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER

MY CLIENT, A LEADING DEFENCE ORGANISATION BASED IN BOSCOMBE DOWN, SALISBURY IS URGENTLY SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER TO JOIN THEIR TEAM FOR 6 MONTHS INITIALLY. THE JUNIOR PM MUST HAVE BIDDING EXPERIENCE WITH SUPPORTING PM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS AND PROCESSES.

THIS IS A FULL TIME ROLE WORKING BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM AND 4:40PM.

The Contractor will report to the Programme Manager and their primary responsibility are as following;

- Application of appropriate project governance to ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
- Delivery of allocated projects to (or ahead of) contracted schedule and cashflow.
- Delivery of allocated projects within Authorised Base Cost as defined by the PM Letter of Appointment.
- Communication of project progress (time, costincluding maintenance of up-to-date Project Risk Register, in approved format.
- Maintenance of up-to-date, fully resourced project plan in EPM (consistent with Risk Register, showing all dependencies and milestones) for currently contracted scope for all allocated projects, published into SAP.
- Control of project changes, ensuring any change to scope (including due to missed dependencies) are formalised through the contract change process and authorised in line with the Air Division Delegations Matrix.
- Maintenance of up-to-date tasking for all project team members (clearly articulating the expected output, due date & allocated effort, with evidence of acceptance by the individual/resource owner).
- Maintenance of up-to-date Project Management Plan (PMP) in approved format.
- Approval of project costs in line with the current Air Division Delegations Matrix.
- Preparation of materials to support, and closure of actions arising from, project reviews (both monthly reviews and Lifecycle reviews from Gates 10 to 17.)

MUST HAVE:

- Experience of MSP, excel, risk identification and proposal development
- Bidding experience with supporting PM Skills
- Knowledge of project management tools and processes.

THE JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER MUST HAVE SC CLEARANCE.
