My client a large corporate company is urgently seeking a Junior Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects through various stages of the life cycle as well as supporting and assisting the delivering the overall project portfolio managed by the team.

Key Accountabilities for the Junior Project Manager will include:

*Delivering individual projects or parts of projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), current legislation and procedures including HMRI guidance where appropriate.

*Providing a professional, consistent and effective project management service including the use of performance indicators and project reporting systems in accordance with Railway Group and the company standards and guidelines.

*Managing the development and delivery of change projects in compliance with company processes and procedures.

*Managing tactical change and risks within the project life cycle for allocated schemes.

*Assisting or lead in the provision of a safe working environment in the execution of managed work.

*Comply with the Investment Competence Framework.

*Managing the production of project management plans

*Managing project budgets within agreed targets

*Delivering regular progress reports on change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to the Programme Manager (Change).

*Promoting and monitor the use of efficiency improvement methods.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

*Successful relevant experience including project management.
*Educated to HNC/HND or similar standard.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills.
*Project safety management experience
*Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental procedures.
*Knowledge of commercial and financial procedures.

The following experience/skills will be highly beneficial for the Junior Project Manager:

*Environment management (inc flood attenuation/protected species, Environmental Impact Assessments & Screening process/Permits and waste management)
*Highway consents - (Town and Country Planning Act/Highways Act, section 278/106, rights of way/easements/wayleave agreements)
*Planning Permission/Permitted Development rights process
*Transport and Works Act Order
*Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
