IT Support Analyst (Junior Level) - Commodities Trading Salary: Circa £25K+ benefits + bonus A rapidly growing commodities (Oil/Gas) trading house is looking to hire an IT Support Analyst to support and over time help improve their IT infrastructure. The IT Support analyst will have the opportunity to support a range of infrastructure technologies in a face paced financial environment, importantly with most of this support being done face to face as they are looking for someone who can think of their feet and help solve complex technical problems. The IT Support Analyst is Not expected to know everything about Windows, Networks, Servers, Linux, Virtualisation, Storage and Databases from day one as there will be a great opportunity to grow their skills and become an infrastructure specialist over time, however a good underlying technical knowledge is important. For example being comfortable with Windows technologies and general PC hardware/software and then potential a combination of SQL/Database or Linux or Cisco Networking would be desirable. This role would be suitable for Junior Level IT Support/Desktop/Graduate Level candidate who has a good underlying platform of technical knowledge, eg theoretical via study and also some practical experience through work or industrial placements etc. There is huge scope of business exposure and to learn new technical skills so they are looking for someone who is keen to build a career within financial focused technology as there is lots of natural progression opportunity.
