Junior Level Application Support

My client, a worldwide investment bank, is looking for their next permanent, application support analyst in their London offices. This particular opportunity is paying a highly competitive junior level salary, and sitting within the Fixed Income Application Support team, where you will be covering Risk and PnL applications. This particular team is going through a huge amount of growth at the moment, in terms of headcount and in terms of new applications being brought on board, so you will be getting a large amount of exposure to a variety of new technical applications and also work directly with the traders. Day-to-day, you will be carrying out 2nd and 3rd line support, with 1st line being done offshore. This means that not only will you be taking part in reactive support; you will be required to take part in proactive support, meaning you will have responsibilities to see issues through and, if required, escalate them to the correct people. To be eligible for this particular role, you need to have: - Experience in an application support role - You do not need to have financial experience, but you must have a keen interest in this area - Experience with Windows and SQL is a must, but having exposure to VBA and UNIX is also beneficial.
