Junior ETL Architect

A large and well respected Business Intelligence consultancy requires bright, articulate and experienced technical delivery professionals to join their growing practice within the Information Management capability area.

The candidate will ideally be familiar with all aspects of the entire Data Warehousing project lifecycle from strategy development and requirements gathering through to solution design and implementation and will need to demonstrate this with a strong CV detailing previous client engagements and work history. You will be one of the members of the Information Management capability consulting team with direct responsibility and involvement in the definition, design and delivery of complex Data Warehousing and Data Integration solutions to clients.

The successful candidate would be typically involved in one or more projects in a variety of key technical roles within a typical Data Warehousing project lifecycle such as

* Pre-sales support
* Solution Architect
* EDW Lead
* Test Lead
* Developer
* Tester etc.

You will be working across industry sectors throughout the UK on a variety of client projects with exposure to the latest BI technologies. The successful candidate will have to be comfortable working in a wide-range of working environments with a variety of differing data and information requirements, all of which may require their own tailored solution.

The candidate would be reporting directly into one of the Information Management capability Leads.

The following technical and data management skills are essential:

* Strong SQL coding skills (stored procedures, functions, partitions etc.)
* Good understanding of relational database fundamentals (indexes, log files, constraints etc)
* ETL process definition, design and development using industry best practices
* OLAP Model definition and design
* Definition, design and development of data marts or warehouses using Kimball Dimensional modelling techniques.

Experience (2-3yrs plus) in elements of the following application stacks (or industry equivalents)

Business Objects XI 3.X and 4.X

* Data Integrator/Data Services

Microsoft SQL Server 2005/8/8R2/2012

* Integration Services
* Analysis Services (Multidimensional and Tabular)
