Junior Developer. .NET/Visual Studio/ASP/C# environment

We are looking to appoint an apprentice to support our .net development team. Successful candidates will have a fundamental knowledge of development in a .net/Visual Studio/ASP/C# environment. You will then have the opportunity to develop these skills using industry standard systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM/ADX Studio/Microsoft Sharepoint/ASP.

The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is a national body for enhancing learning and teaching in higher education in the UK. The HEA supports staff in higher education throughout their career from those who are new to teaching through to senior leadership. We offer services in 28 disciplines throughout the UK and have offices in England, Wales and Scotland. Through our partnership management team we work directly with institutions to understand their specific circumstances and priorities, and bring together resources to meet these.

The Successful candidate will have a fundamental knowledge of development in a .net/Visual Studio/ASP/C# environment. You will then have the opportunity to develop these skills using industry standard systems such as HP Autonomy CMS and Microsoft Dynamics CRM/ADX Studio.

Core responsibilities include:

Developing new features of the HEA's core CRM and CMS systems, according to specifications and designs agreed by internal clients and the HEA's project board

Working closely with HEA project managers, communicating estimated timescales and providing regular updates on progress

Maintaining, improving and streamlining existing projects

To succeed in the role you will need to prioritise your own work and have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks. You will be able to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience and with a wide range of stakeholders. You will enjoy delivering creative and problem solving solutions with an innovative focus.
