On behalf of our client, a world-leading financial institution based in Zurich, Swisslinx are looking for a motivated and flexible junior IT Database Administrator for a contract position.
JUNIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, MS-SQL, UNIX/LINUX, ENGLISH, BANKING (CONTRACT, ZURICH)

For this role we are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Minimum 2 years' experience required
- Good knowledge of in Oracle Database Administration
- Experience in at least one of the following disciplines is a clear plus: MS-SQL Database Administration, Unix/Linux Systems Administration or Microsoft Windows Systems Administration
- Motivated individual with a can-do attitude and willing to learn additional technologies
- Scripting knowledge (VBS, VBA, C-Sharp) is an advantage
Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Coordinating changes to computer databases
- Testing and implementing the database applying knowledge of database management systems
- Planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database
- Change Management (mainly SW-Deployments & script execution)
- Operational Requests (Service Requests, User-/Account Management)
This is a 1st Level Support role for central technical infrastructure with 24/7 Shift Work.
