Job description
Marketing Services - Global Product Development Division have a vacancy for a Junior Data Analyst/Data Analyst within their Development Group. The successful candidate will be working to develop database solutions, which ensure the successful implementation of GPDD products to the end clients.

This is a fixed term position for 9 months

The position will require an active involvement in all stages of the creation of these data products from the initial specification stages to the final validation and quality checks. This includes the development of methodologies, data checking, processing of large databases, validation, documenting, some programming and reporting. The position will require the ability to work individually or in a project team

Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role are to gain a full and practical understanding of the assigned GPDD products, be able to capture client business requirements and produce detailed project specifications and proposals, be involved in the solution design and communicate progress to both clients and internally across the division.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

- The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and via clear and detailed specifications and reports.
- You will have the organisational skills necessary to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
- A practical awareness of the issues involved in analysing and manipulating data are essential as is the ability to interpret data, recognise problems as they arise and suggest and implement appropriate actions.
- Experience of database design and data manipulation in a commercial environment and knowledge of SQL Server would be an advantage.
- You will have an A-Level in Maths and educated to 2:1 degree level in Maths, Computing or Science
