JUNIOR DATA ANALYST
One of my client is urgently looking for a Junior Data Analyst for a 6-12 month contract in Zurich, Switzerland.
THE JUNIOR DATA ANALYST ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Update data based on defined business rules to 1) clean data then 2) set up data maintenance process
- Assemble data sets for quality evaluation and clean up data and then feedback to the data governance process
- Assists in efforts centralize data collection related to Data Management, Data/Profiling and proceed enhancements to improve data quality across supply-chain and production planning Assist with analysis of data sets and verification of source data integrity against DQ rules
- Work with business analysts to update rules that compare source data to data models that will store such Enterprise/application-specific standards
- Development and documentation of data transformation code (SQL based) for business rules
- Development of DQ measures and data quality resolution per the clients defined requirements
- Understanding of Data Quality requirements
- Testing of DQ code per the clients existing requirements
- Update quality documentation per the clients existing requirements
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-4 year's overall experience as a Business Data Analyst or Data Engineer
- Strong analytic skills, related to working with structured datasets and data quality
- Experience working with ERP data. SAP and/or JDE preferred
- Experience with relational SQL, SAP and JDE databases
- Ability to solve problems and apply logical thinking for data accuracy, data quality and completeness
- Effective communicator with good speaking and writing skills (English and German)
- Experience in following and updating formulas and plans using MS Excel and/or MS Access
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Understands business issues related to data management and quality as they impact ERP Processes
- Understanding of data analysis process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
- Ability to programmatically examine large data sets to identify quality issues and trends in business and develop methods to leverage that knowledge
- Writing data extraction, transformation, contextual correlation of dissimilar data sets
- Understand Client Requirements
- Understanding of validation requirements
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge of sourcing information from Informatica PowerCenter, BODS and Winshuttle
- Knowledge of SAP supply-chain data structures
- German Language (for Germany)
