Junior Data Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides system support for incidents, issues, and customer problems related to the Oracle eBusiness Suite finance modules received from the end users via incidents logged through a ticketing system and email requests.
- Prioritizes requests from customers into urgent vs. non-urgent requests.
- Works with end users to resolve a variety of incidents including: user access, HR record, system data discrepancies
- Provides on-the-job instruction and/or answers questions from customers regarding data and process related issues.
- Interacts with functional and technical support teams as well as business users through research and resolution.
- Executes established processes for data maintenance activities including obtaining appropriate approvals, electronic and manual filing of requests, updating incident status in the ticketing system and using systems to perform the actual data updates.
- Maintains financial related tables (ex. Chart of Accounts) both through the ERP application and data loading technology.
- Updates employee information based on analysis and research of HR data interface.
- Utilizes pre-written queries to perform data analysis.
- Analyzes and resolves issues related to integration between various systems.
- Participates in short term data analysis efforts for the functional support team.
- Creates and maintains documentation and data repositories for data maintenance and functional support team activities.

SKILLS

At a minimum an Associate's Degree in an analytical field such as Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience, or demonstrated competencies achieved through participation in non-work organizations or as part of a degree study program. Must be able to work on multiple tasks, prioritize requests, demonstrate a solid customer service background and a keen attention to detail. Additionally, adherence to established processes and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to end users is key to success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is desired. Good customer service and documentation skills are preferred. Oracle Financials or other ERP experience in a customer support or end user role is a plus.
