Junior Buyer - Sourcing

As the Junior Buyer you will be responsible for liaising with internal clients and external suppliers in order to drive the continuous improvement of the sourcing department - including supplier selection, contracting, supplier performance management etc.

The preferred candidate will be expected to help deliver savings and avoid increased costs whilst ensuring continuity of supply. You will be supporting and contributing towards the Sourcing Hoshin Kanri objectives so previous experience surrounding this methodology would be highly advantageous. The role entails working with sourcing buyers and management to ensure purchase order systems and process compliance.

The ideal candidate will work with moderate direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving with a variety of sourcing activities including but not limited to raw materials, supplies, equipment, services and process/transactional. Works to source requests to purchase orders with suppliers, coordinates shipping schedules and delivery, updates pricing, delivery information and commodity database as needed.
