Junior Business Analyst for Business Intelligence (BI) projects - SDLC - DWH - Healthcare - longterm
Tasks:
Understanding and documenting business requirements and desired outcomes, functional and design specifications for Business Intelligence projects
Responsible for coordinating activities between the business, client services, technical analysts, developers, external partners, and IS shared service partners.
Ensure that all SDLC concepts are applied in accordance with company policy.
Work in close collaboration with business partners, solutions delivery teams, and IT shared services and client services to ensure consistent understanding of business requirements and expectations.
Facilitate meetings with all levels of the business and key stakeholders to drive requirements and process definitions.
Create, author and maintain detailed requirements, functional and design specifications.
Work with the business partners in conducting User Acceptance Testing to ensure the system meets expectations and is of high quality prior to deployment.
Ensure that IS standard methodologies and are employed consistently across all project initiatives.
Keeping abreast of new development technologies, methodologies, industry practices and standards.
Help drive the business to understand and take advantage of opportunities and provide innovative solutions that are leading edge.
Provide excellent communication with timely and accurate responses to questions and issues.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field is nice to have.
At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the BI arena.
Solid understanding of SLC methodologies and creating functional and design specifications.
Very good understanding of general Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing concepts, BI & Analytics related technologies and applicability in the Sales & Marketing domain.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to learn a complex and dynamic business environment and proven success in an application development BA role is essential.
Experience with the following technologies: Cognos, Oracle, Spotfire and Informatica and domain knowledge of Sales & Marketing processes in the Healthcare Industry is a plus.
Period: long term project, for sure 1 year
