Junior Analyst Programmer - 6 week Contract (Q3)

I have an opportunity for a Junior Analyst Programmer for an initial 6 week contract based on the fringe of the CBD. As the Analyst Programmer you will be working within a small team across multiple projects, one of the main duties you will be performing is extracting data from an SQL database and inputting this onto multiple websites (Using VBScript, VB.NET and .NET/C#)

Your key responsibilities in this position will include the following:

- Analyse objectives and problems specified by computer users and stakeholders and translate requests into accurate reflection of requirements;
- Undertake program design activities including definition of data and error message arrangements;
- Document program code to assist with later maintenance and enhancements;
- Provide maintenance of and updates for existing applications;
- Use VB.NET framework and relevant languages such as HTML to develop and maintain new applications;
- Use a high level of contemporary programming standards as practiced in Australian organisations and in compliance with SDLC practices;

To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:

- The person should be very proficient with the .NET programming tools, HTML languages and "real-world" programming experience is required. 
- The person should have demonstrated experience in programming applications with SQL database connectivity (both for Windows based and Web based applications). 
- Demonstrated experience as a self-directed visionary who can mold existing and new tools and pieces into a streamlined client-oriented solution.
- Proven experience with VBScript, VB.NET, .NET & C# languages
