Seeking a Unix Admin!
3 Month Contract to Hire!

You will be joining a team and working as a UNIX Administrator in a high volume/fast paced environment. You will either be working a rotating 7am-7pm shift or a standard 8-5 shifteach week. This team is responsible for support on the client's customer network. You will be providing technical support/troubleshooting on UNIX Servers/work stations on a daily basis.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a basic understanding of Solaris/Linux. Experience with local UNIX Account provisioning, LDAP, and SFTP/FTP are required. The candidate must be able to multi-task and execute all assigned tickets/projects efficiently and in a timely manner.

Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external Unix Servers. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and server configurations. Troubleshoots server performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Assists in the development and maintenance of server communications. Uses knowledge of server systems to help design and install internal and external networks.

Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
